Have any of you taken a screen printing class or know how to? I am very interested in the process and may go check out a class. I have an idea or two on a t-shirt design, but I need to know how to make that happen ;) Any suggestions? Have any of you made a shirt before? Appreciate ya!

On a Rainy Day
"rain, rain, go away. come again another day"
We have rain here in Dallas, and while I love those sunny days of summer, the rain and lower temperature is a nice reprieve every now and then.
Here are a few things I enjoy doing on a rainy day:
wearing my galoshes (I have these very ones on today!)
enjoying the aroma and flavor of hot tea
adding to my collection of dreams with a nice long nap
... with that special someone :)
reading inspirational blogs... like your's ;)
yes, i like to clean and organize... on a rainy day!
What do you like to do?

Philip Ficks
Philip Ficks photography makes me smile. Look at these wonderful colors and prop choices!
Check out his site here for more photography goodness!
Chocolate is in the Air
Here's what the website says:
In Chocochandelier, 24 bars of chocolate rotate around the spot light at one revolution per hour. The light is slowly moving up so that it keeps melting up sections of the chocolate bar hour after hour. People are welcome to catch the chocolate drips using the supplied bread sticks or their fingers.
How cool is that?

Design of Flight
I have a little brother, a dad, and both grandfathers (war veterans - Korean & WWII) that enjoy all things plane. My 11-year-old bro has already decided that he would like to go to the United States Air Force Academy to become an aeronautical engineer. Hey, if he's got the grades and the passion, go for it ;)
So this is for the guys...
When I ran across this print on Society6 , I thought how cool, I could totally see this print in a home or office somewhere. I like how it's illustrated.
Then, I ran into this site — alCarts. What a great idea. I mean, yeah these carts are known for bruising elbows and storing only enough drink that causes many trips to the tight-spaced, smelly bathrooms on an airplane, but take them out of that crummy light and you get a stylish and functional design for "your ground operation." How clever. And finally, what guy wouldn't want these awesome cuff links from Banana Republic? ;)

Modish is having a giveaway today and the jewelry being featured is simply wonderful... I just had to share!
Check out Modish blog for a chance to receive $50 credit towards a piece of jewelry (through June 30th).
Comic Frenemies
Comic book series Betty and Veronica was a favorite reading of mine as a kid! I loved the stories and the personality differences between the two "frenemies", Betty Cooper ('girl next door') & Veronica Lodge (spoiled rich girl), and their never-ending obsession with the freckle-faced Archie Andrews! Can you believe this comic friendship has been in play since 1942?
