Like hair accessories? Well then you will LOVE this post!

Introducing hello ROBERTSON. Hailing from New York City, Hannah and Elly came together after interior design school and decided to take their creativity to the roots.... And by that, I mean hair. Their line of hair goodies could not be more cuter. They even have some jewelry items!

I bought some myself when they came to Dallas to set up shop at Snider Plaza's A Little Artsy studio.

Simply adorable!

A Glance at NYC

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

During the Christmas holiday, my parents decided to treat the gals (mom, older sister, and I) to a vacation in New York City. The fun-filled week included two shows - Shrek The Musical (very entertaining) and Next to Normal (good music, depressing story) - amazing breakfast joints including Friend of a Farmer and Good Enough to Eat, fulfilling my need for chocolate at Max Brenner (see pic below), oh, and shopping of course! All in all, it was quite the memorable vaca.

Upon one of our many excursions we decided to venture to the art mecca, SoHo. While wandering the streets, with hundreds of other people, we came across a wonderful place. Shiny objects galore and artistic wonder. It's called Sicis and their specialty is creating brilliant pieces of mosaic art.

And yes, that shiny piece of furniture that appears to be in the shape of a high heel, is in fact a bathtub (pricing starts at $17,000 and up). Oh boy!

The Big Apple never disappoints!

What's Leap Year?

This weekend I am celebrating, what my dad likes to call "my birthday season." I am a Leap Year baby, born on February 29th. For those of you who are confused about this... let me explain!

Every four years, February decides to have another day in its monthly line-up. Supposedly, this extra day is needed to keep our calendar in alignment with the earth's revolutions around the sun. To me, it means only celebrating my actual birthday every four years. So in Leap Years, I am actually only 6-years-old. This can be really good as I continue to age! Think about it.

So what do I do every year that does not have that extra day? I take advantage. Yup, that's right. See, I don't really get that special day, so I simply extend the celebration around the time it would actually fall. This weekend I will spend time celebrating with family and friends on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I would like to think that somewhere around midnight between February 28th and March 1st, my change of age occurs.

I think it's pretty cool.

If you'd like to find out what happened on your birth year, check this site out.
