Room To Ad-Dress

After seeing this room on House of Turquoise, I just had to do something with it. It's simple, yet stylish, cute and functional. I love how the designer creates symmetry throughout the room with modern pieces while adding a feminine touch through the floor pillows and the natural elements of the antler chandelier and zebra print rug. So fabulous!

So what did I do with it? I created a simple, yet stylish outfit that reflects the design of this room.

Kauai Bound, But Not Me

I am in jealousy mode. I just dropped off my friend at the airport... destination: Island of Kauai, Hawaii. Yep, for 10 DAYS!!! Plus he pretty much got the trip for free. Staying at a friend's condo and only paid around $50 for the flight (he had miles). It's funny too, because when I picked him up, he had a medium sized duffel bag and backpack. In other words, he packed light. I couldn't do that, but good for him. He deserves a break, so I'm happy for him, but I can still be jealous, right?

Have you visited the Island of Kauai before? What was your favorite part? Any suggestions of places to visit or things to do that I should text my friend about?

Food on the Beech

I am smitten over this Smarin design! This "tiny forest" is a party platter made out of natural beech wood. What a cute idea for snacking or simply, visual happiness. What would you perch atop this eating tree?

Hello Weekend

So what are you up to this weekend? Mine started yesterday. I was supposed to visit my sweet grandma in the hospital (3 hrs away), but she needed some rest after the many visitors earlier this week, so I stayed in town, ran errands, and played a little with friends. Today I'm thinking antique/resale shopping? We'll see!

I LOVE Sarah Rhoads Photography. And I'm not just sayin' that. I think she has an amazing eye and style! She and her husband, Chris, are a husband & wife lifestyle photography team based in Seattle. I am hoping to have enough money to fly them out to Dallas to shoot my wedding, or at least my engagement (which, is not happening yet... believe me, you'll know). Wowzers!
