Royal Cake

Friday, April 29, 2011

OK, how many of you admit to watching the royal wedding this morning?  Or DVR'd it, perhaps, or maybe even watched it live via YouTube?  I'm intrigued.  Beyond the fashion, which happens to be more fascinating to me than the red carpet, here's what I'm excited about... the groom's cake.  I wanna try it :)  Happy Friday!

A Wooden Crush

Tuesday, April 26, 2011

I've been crushing on wood lately.  This design idea has certainly been around for awhile with the whole popularity of "green" design, but to be honest, I just like the look of it... A wooden dining table with modern accents.  What design idea have you been crushing on lately?

It's Raining Confetti

Monday, April 25, 2011

I hope you all had a FABULOUS Easter.  Now that you're winding down from all the festivities of the weekend, here's a little wedding inspiration for you to enjoy.

I am simply delighted by this spring inspired wedding shoot by Wednesday, Inc.  I really don't have to say much about this as the pictures speak for themselves, but here a few details of the wedding that I can't get over!!  If you wanna check out more of the wedding gallery, view it here.

Beyond The Easter Dress

Friday, April 22, 2011

I love Easter.  Ever since I was a little girl I have loved this holiday.  With high anticipation of the Easter bunny sneaking in at night to place candy & other goodies in my basket, and going to bed with sponge rollers in my hair for that Sunday morning southern curl and then putting on the puffy dress with matching ruffled socks for church... I'll never forget that part of Easter.  However, it is SO much more than that.  As you put on your Easter best (yes, I have a new dress!), I hope you remember or get the opportunity to hear what Easter is all about.

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.  Do you believe this?'"   -John 11:25, 26

"Jesus took my place on the cross to give me a place in heaven."  -unknown

"The benefits [of the resurrection] are innumerable.  To list a few: Our illnesses don't seem  nearly so final; Our fears fade and lose their grip; Our grief over those who have gone on is diminished; Our desires to press on in spite of the obstacles is rejuvenated...Our identity as Christians is strengthened as we stand in the lengthening shadows of saints down through the centuries, who have always answered back in antiphonal voice: 'He is risen, indeed!'"
