Tweet Dreams

Monday, January 31, 2011

How many of you enjoy waking up to the sound of birds singing?  If it's not the obnoxious sounding ones, I actually quite like it.  Now, if you're really into it and want to make it a daily listening habit, look no further than the Japanese firm, &Design.  They have created a Bird Alarm Clock that allows your dreams to be replaced by enchanting bird songs.  Now who doesn't like a good tweet in the morning?

A Matter of the Heart

Saturday, January 29, 2011

My girlfriend's getting married at the end of February and her bridal shower is this weekend.  With this celebration of love and Valentine's Day around the corner, my internet browsing was taken into a more, let's just say, girly direction and I spotted this charming (pink) cake and it's cute little crocheted heart-shaped toppers by Victoria Hudgins of City Cradle Designs, and I just had to share it!
You think it's cute too, huh?  Wanna try it?  Get the how-to here!

Eva Martin

If a had the money, I would commission award winning jeweler, Eva Martin, in a second!  Her stunning pieces of art come with every sense of imagination and creativity.  Upon visiting her website, you will be instantly captured by the stories behind the concept and design of each of her pieces, not to mention the beauty of the jewelry!

Samantha Hahn

Samantha Hahn Illustration.  I spotted her awhile ago, but you may have seen her recently featured on Decor8.  Her work consists of a lovely collection of watercolor & ink.  Some of her clients include Marie Claire, Glamour Magazine, Victoria's Secret, and Conde Nast, to name a few.  I love the feminine nature of each of her pieces.

A Timepiece of Nature

What makes these watches so unique?  They're made out of wood.  WeWOOD, a company with Italian roots (no pun intended), prides themselves on their design as being an "avant-garde approach to sophisticated sustainability."

Thinkin' Happy

Tuesday, January 25, 2011

I've got a new blog look.  While it may not appear to be completely different, it looks and feels different to me and I'm happy :)  I'd like to re-design the header, so more changes to come.  A new blog for a new year!  Thanks to Ana for the amazing new layout.

Ban.do Valentine

The blogger news of yesterday was Ban.do's updated site.  I decided to take a peek and found an adorable site covered in flamingo pink!  Just in time for Valentine's, the accessories line has featured some adorable hearts, love letters, and my favorite, their pop flower!  Take a look for yourself.

How Productive Are You?

How many of you can relate to this?

Dog Days

I'm changing up my layout and seeing how I like it.  New header to come soon!  Stay tuned ;)

This is my parent's precious dog, Whistler (yep, he was named after our favorite vacation place, Whistler, BC).  Isn't he a cutie?!  He's a purebred Labrador and while he's still a puppy, he's around 110 lbs!!  See how much he's grown!
I thought he'd bring a smile to your face this Monday!  Are you more of a cat or dog person?  Enjoy your day!

Boot Scootin'

Friday, January 21, 2011

My new boots!  I wanted some boots that were neutral in color, no heel, and would go with me past winter.  So what do ya think?
I have a few birthday parties I'm attending this weekend, along with church and catching up with a girl friend.  These boots will be featured maybe once or twice ;)

Have a great weekend!

Kid Friendly Shoot

TOO cute and creative for words.  Dad and photographer, Jason Lee, is known for capturing weddings, but his true creativity and playfulness comes alive when his two daughters become the subject.

Commercialized

Wednesday, January 19, 2011

I work in the broadcast production department of The Richards Group.  An amazingly talented group of individuals make up this company and I am so excited to be a part of it.  I think my job is pretty entertaining ;)  I mean, it's commercials.  So here's a couple that I think are hilarious; both involving fish!  The first one was created and produced by The Richards Group and ranked the 10th best TV commercial of 2010 by Time Magazine.  Way to go guys!

Not Your Ordinary Display

Monday, January 17, 2011

Happy Monday to you!  To start off this week, I'd like to brighten your day with one of the many reasons why I like Anthropologie - you know it well, their amazingly talented visual teams.  Yep, even with everyday household items (clothespins, zippers), they manage to come up with spectacular window displays.  These are posted on their Facebook page as their Spring 2011 Windows.  What household items can you think of that could be used in a display?  (Oh, and, who's ready for spring?!)

A Glance At The Sartorialist

Friday, January 14, 2011

I love looking through The Sartorialist.  Scott Schuman, the guy behind the lens, has such a great eye for fashion as seen through the entries on his blog.  Here's a few favorites from some of his recent posts:

Winter Bliss

Thursday, January 13, 2011

I know a lot of you, based on blog updates and tweets, are facing some extremely cold weather + snow.  Here in Dallas, we're definitely getting the chilly weather, but only a bit of snow that came and went in one day. To get you into a more positive "winter wonderland" feel, take a look at this lovely winter themed wedding shoot featured on Green Wedding Shoes.
What do you think about her bow?  I think it's adorable!
