Hello Seattle

Wednesday, September 21, 2011

Heading to Seattle end of this month.  Would love to know your thoughts, suggestions on places to visit.  I'm into the typical site seeing, but would like to hit up some shops related to design, fashion, etc. and of course, great restaurants!  Thanks in advance!

Bowled Over

Tuesday, September 20, 2011

I like the idea of these.  I mean, they're made of reclaimed wood and shiny gloss paint.  They're tall helping you avoid spillage and well, they're just plain interesting looking - not your average bowl!  I dig.

Navajo Pillow

I moved into my new place back in July, but I am still in the process of decorating.  Style and interests change, so I consider this normal ;)  Here's my latest purchase.  I needed to throw a bit of navajo in with the modern and feminine pieces!  Whatcha think?!

I am enjoying the new website layout of The Sartorialist.  Have you seen it?
This amazing picture captures beauty, femininity, and destruction in the same frame.  Brilliant!

Book (sm)Art

Fascinating cover art with focus on typography.  Here's what the designer had to say...

I was asked to design this as an advertising campaign for Jashanmal Bookstores from Dubai. Like the previous typography series, it’s a visualisation based on type only. This time I decided to focus on the whole title rather than just a single letter or element, and by manipulating the title in one way or another I have tried to capture the essence of the book.

A Dream Studio

Friday, September 2, 2011

I am completely in love with the style of this beautiful Gramercy Park studio by interior designer Elizabeth Bauer.  By the look of her place, she may be the Jack Bauer of design ;)  Her studio was featured in last year's Lonny Mag, but I just now spotted it and couldn't help but post it again for all you! Have a lovely day!

Beautiful photography from Irene Suchocki of Eye Poetry.

Cosa Fina Jewels

The Raw Collection from Cosa Fina Jewelry is absolutely stunning.  A unique boutique started by designer sisters, more lovely pieces can be found on their website.  (I'm a big fan of their amethyst items, as it's my birthstone!)
